Assignment: To create a poster that depicts a particular era of art.

Design: We randomly drew the names of different artistic eras (impressionism, cubism, etc.), and mine happened to be Realism. This was a particularlly difficult assignment for me because Realism usually refers to an era of painting, and realistic painting is not one of my strong points. So I had to find another way to depict Realism, and I figured there is no visual representation that is more realistic than photography. So I used one of my own photographs and used a more modern set up for the typography.
